Question 1

Where exactly is Taos Self Storage?

Accepted Answer

We are at 142 NM-522 in El Prado, about 1.25 miles north of the blinking light where US-64 meets NM-522 and NM-150, and roughly 10 minutes north of Taos Plaza. Look for the gate on the east side of the highway.

Question 2

Can I get to my unit at night or on weekends?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The gate is keypad controlled and open to tenants 24 hours a day, every day. Climate-controlled hallways have their own keypad doors, so your code gets you to your unit any hour.

Question 3

What sizes do you have?

Accepted Answer

Climate-controlled indoor units in 5x5, 5x10, 10x10 and 10x20, drive-up units in 5x5, 5x10, 8x10, 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20, and open-air parking spaces from 15 to 43 feet long for RVs, campers, boats and trailers. Live availability and pricing are on the rental list on our home page.

Question 4

Are the units really climate controlled?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Building A is an indoor, climate-controlled building with keypad hallway access. We keep the temperature regulated so nothing freezes in a Taos winter or bakes in July, which matters for art, antiques, photos, wine, business records and electronics.

Question 5

Do you have RV, boat or trailer parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our parking spaces are open-air, on an unpaved lot inside the same gated property as the units, covered by cameras. Spaces run from 15 to 43 feet, which fits most campers, travel trailers, boats on trailers and toy haulers. Text us your length before you book and we will confirm the fit.

Question 6

How do I rent, and is there a long-term contract?

Accepted Answer

Pick a unit on the rental list on our home page, rent online in a few minutes and move in the same day. Rentals are month to month, so you can stay as long as you need and give notice when you are done. You can also call or text (505) 624-8089 and we will set it up for you.
